The 2009 McLaren SLR Stirling Moss will be officially announced at the Detroit Auto Show in January next month. The car was designed with Stirling Moss’ 1955 300 SLR racer in mind. It is powered by an SLR722-supplied 650-hp supercharged 5.5-liter V8 mated with a five-speed auto, reaching 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and achieving the top speed of 217 mph. It also features a carbon fiber bodywork, swing-doors, retractable air brake (automatically deploys during hard braking from speeds above 75mph.) and two air scoops behind the driver and passenger. The 2009 Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is limited to 75 units only and each will cost you about $1,100,000 only.
