Nikon officially released its D5000 new Digital SLR camera. It features 12.3MP sensor and ISO up to 6400, a 2.7-inch Vari-angle LCD monitor, EXPEED image processing system, Lione-button Live View, D-Movie video capture with up to 1,280x720px HD videos, record 720p HD movie clips, 19 Scene Modes, continuous shooting as fast as 4 frames-per-second and GPS geo-tagging.
The D5000 outfit, which includes the AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, will be available at Nikon Authorized dealers beginning in late April 2009 at an estimated selling price of $849.95.

German camera maker Leica is going to release its special edition digital rangefinder camera, the all-white version of the M8. This is a very limited camera to be produced. Alright this is the real one not the miniature. Canon has released the brand new Canon EOS Rebel T1i, featuring 15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor, 9-point Auto Focus, ISO settings up to 6400, and compatibility with Canon’s complete line of EF and EF-S lenses. The Digital SLR is capable of shooting Full HD video at 1920 x 1080 resolution, by simply selecting Movie mode on the EOS Rebel T1i’s mode dial, the camera’s 3.0-inch LCD lights up, and it’s ready to go. Shooting is at a frame rate of 30 fps when shooting SD or HD quality video (640 x 480 and 1280 x 720 pixels, respectively) and at a frame rate of 20 fps in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) recording. Sound is recorded through the camera’s built-in microphone. Playback modes are simple to access, and all Live View AF features can be used in shooting video. The medium-format Mamiya DL33 is enough to make your eyes fall, it is priced $20,000. The DL33 combines Mamiya’s 645AFD III camera system with a 33 megapixel Aptus-II 7 Digital Back from Leaf, it comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 16-bit capture, an ISO range of 50-800, and absolutely massive 67MB RAW files. Coming out this April 2009.

A team of teenage students spend $77 for Nikon Coolpix and $60 latex balloon filled with helium to capture these shots which are 20 miles away from Earth’s surface. Radio-synced to Google Earth, tracked the package soared 885 feet per minute into the sky, taking shots on a periodic timer. The balloon failed around 100,000 before the system parachuted to the ground. Casio has announced their latest digital camera, the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z29. The camera comes in a compact and stylish form, it features 10.1-megapixel image resolution, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.7 inch wide LCD display, 17.8 MB built-in flash memory and supports SD and SDHC memory cards. The camera measures 3.64 x 2.16 x 0.91 inches and color options include black, silver, blue, pink and purple.
“The 2.7-inch wide LCD display enables users to easily navigate camera operations and enhance the review of images, while the 23 Best Shot Modes and face detection technology help users take high quality photos without having to adjust camera settings. It features 12 Megapixel 1/1.6-inch Super CCD EXR, Fujinon 5x wide angle optical zoom lens, face detection 3.0 technology, auto red eye removal, 5 Film Simulation Modes, a 3.0-inch high-resolution 230,000 dots wide view LCD, HD Photo Output, Dual Image Stabilisation and sensitivity up to ISO 12800 (3 million pixel only).
