This is how Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood was meant to be played

March 24th, 2011

The PS3 and Xbox 360 had them earlier, but the PC platform had their fair share slightly later. Why? Well, this video will explain why. Besides the changes to the control, they also gave a multi-display support to the PC version. Of course, if the new feature is not given an exercise, then it’ll be a waste. Thanks to the glorious PC Master Race, you’ll know how it feels like to game in a resolution of 5760 x 1080.

On the record, the widest mainstream cinema release of all time was Ben Hur, at 2.93:1. This video was recorded on 5.3:1. Now this is why you need an uber rig, and a multi-display setup, because this is how you game in style.

The final mission of Mass Effect 2 arrives to embrace Mass Effect 3

This time, Commander Shepard travels to the edge of the galaxy to rescue an undercover operative that potentially got hold of an evidence regards to an impending Reaper invasion. That’s the story of Mass Effect 2’s Arrival downloadable content.

This final batch of downloadable content (DLC) for Mass Effect 2 will set the stage for the next game, Mass Effect 3, making it a can’t miss expansion to what some people around here considered to be last year’s Game of the Year. What’s more, Arrival also features the return of Admiral Hackett, lovingly voiced by the gravelly voice of Lance Henriksen.

“All year, we have been extremely honoured and humbled by the reception we have received for Mass Effect 2 from players around the world, including our post release DLC”, said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer, Mass Effect series. “Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to Mass Effect 2 and will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest.”

Arrival will be available on March 29 for 560 Microsoft points, 560 BioWare points, or $6.99 and is available for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

The most painful board game

March 19th, 2011

When you’ve not nothing better to do, and you want to do some very cruel things to your pals, then you should learn a thing or two from these boys at GlazeBros. Good thing I don’t have much body hair, except for some parts that are off limit.

It’s still a lovely idea for a board game. I know of some dudes that look like monkeys, it’s time to suggest this game.

March 19th, 2011

Nokia teams up with Rovio to create a massive 3D projection on a 150-foot tall Austin building during their opening party at Texas for the event South by Southwest. What’s it about? Well, obviously Angry Birds on Nokia. A pretty cool way to promote the game I might add.

Crysis 2 slightly more lenient than its predecessor

March 19th, 2011

This latest Crysis 2 video gives another look at the gunplay and suit-enhanced choreography of the upcoming computer and console shooter, played on the computer. Though the demo was limited to “medium” graphic setting to minimize download side, it still portrays a good glimpse of how Crysis 2 will run on your computer. The game does seem to be very smooth and somewhat better then Call of Duty.

Crysis 2 will be released on March 22nd for the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.

This is the reason why you want your computer to run Crysis 2

March 15th, 2011

Crysis 2 is coming very soon, but you may think that this is just another benchmark game for your graphic card. Well, to be fair the new CryEngine 3 is indeed going to be the next benchmark that’s going to cripple your GTX580 quad-SLI setup, if you paired it with a 27-inch monitor that is. Here’s another new demo released at GDC 2011, showing off the latest from CryEngine 3.

Angry Bird catapults to Facebook, the pigs might fight back

Angry Bird catapults to Facebook, the pigs might fight back

This only proves that people love simple and childish games. Angry Bird, launched less than a year ago, already see more than 75 million downloads on mobile platforms, meaning devices on iOS, Android, Symbian, and WebOS. It’s said that the developer, Rovio, is gearing up to bring the highly popular game Angry Bird into even-more-popular social network site Facebook. With this, I’m sure 100 million downloads won’t be a problem. Read more…

Blizzard wants you to know that Starcraft II is awesome

Blizzard wants you to know that Starcraft II is awesome

Blizzard’s uberly popular Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty has been out on the wild for five months now, and seriously the game is called the “PC Game of the Year” for a good reason, so I’d be very surprised if you haven’t tried out the game. But Blizzard still wants to reassure those that are still in dilemma, that they have the recipe for the best Real Time Strategy game out there, and they’re here to convince you with their new demo for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.

The demo is free, and you have unlimited time with the demo. You can even play it offline, without the need for a Battle.net account and “guest pass” from a friend with a trial key. The demo includes the first three missions of the Wings of Liberty campaign and Terran-on-Terran solo skirmish, but sadly there’s no multiplayer. It’ll be great if Blizzard can include that.

Crysis 2: Be the weapon

December 22nd, 2010

Crysis 2: Be the weapon

The first Crysis game was about you going to North Korea for some massacre yet ending up shooting some aliens. The game pawned our computers hard, and only after a year or two that graphic cards managed to swipe Crysis smoothly at the acceptable 60 fps. But now, Crysis 2 is getting ready to whip your new quad-SLI system with an overclocked Core i7 processor. Yes, until Mass Effect 2 and Oblivion V come out, Crysis 2 will be the new gaming benchmark.

The new game’s second trailer has been released, and it’s titled “Be the weapon”. Apparently, the aliens have left North Korea to Kim Jong Il fighting with Lee Myung-Bak and Girls Generation. Instead the seemed to have quite literally destroyed the US, and you’re the only hope. You still get the invisible suit, the super strength and speed, but I hope the cursor is now more logical and easier to aim. Check out the new trailer.

Halo Reach’s Bridge lets you ride to the sky

December 16th, 2010

Breaking the law of physics is cool, but only happens mostly in games that are buggy, such as this Halo Reach. Build a ramp in the Forge level creator of Halo Reach and you’ll just fly there in the sky.
