Micro Memo for iPod Nano

The Micro Memo from Marubeni Infotech Japan, a mic for iPod Nano. It is connect through the dock connector and this attached mic is connected to adjustable arm so that you can adjust a better position for yourself. There two options of recording, that will be the high mode (44.1 kHz/1,411kbps), the low (22.05 kHz/352kbps) and the recording will be saved in stereo WAV format, so you will need to convert to mp3 format yourself. Recording your voice for 51 hours in low made on your 8GB iPod Nano. Best of all, this unit comes with a built-in speaker and no batteries needed as it draws power from your iPod nano. The Micro Memo iPod Mic is available in Japan for 8,480 Yen which is about $70.

Princeton i-Bird – iPod dock

i-Bird, it is a iPod dock with integrated alarm clock and a AM/FM radio from from Japan base Princeton corp. It comes with a blue LED display for displaying your time and radio frequencies and this will wake you up with your favorite song from iPod or radio. 32mm stereo speaker delivers output of 3W×2ch and 62mm woofer with an output of 8 watts. There’s also a USB port included for you to transfer tunes from your computer. The dock also juices up your iPod while playing. Princeton i-Bird measures 180×170×61mm and weighs 738 grams and will be available in Japan for 12,800 Yen ($ 105).

Princeton Soundwall speaker system for iPod

Princeton Japan released the Soundwall speaker system for iPod. It comes with a 4 speaker on each of the side, an iPod dock on the center and a backlit LCD at the top to display your track and info. The 2.1 channel system has neodymium speakers delivering an output of 4W x 2 channels and a sub woofer 63mm wide with 15 watts of output. The dock can be connected to PC via USB for data transfer and it is powered by AC adapter or batteries. It also includes a fully functional remote control. It measures 218×83.8×190mm and weighs 1190 grams. The Princeton PSP-MSSSW will be available in Japan by mid January for 15,800 Yen which will be around $130.

Apple iPhone

Finally it’s out. Apple has announced its iPhone, it is 11.6 mm thin with a 480 x 320 touch screen display with multi touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the screen. iPhone features a 2-megapixel camera, 4GB or 8GB storage, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE. It runs on OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes of course. Partnership with Yahoo, this allows all iPhone users to hook up with the IMAP email. Battery life, 5 hours for calls or video and 16 hours in music mode, standby mode has not been announced. The 4GB will be priced $499 while the 8GB priced $599 on two-year contract with Cingular in US. iPhone will be shipped Stateside in June, Europe in fourth quarter and Asia in 2008. More picture…
