LG Philips LCD claim to have invented an LCD screen technology for laptops that resist smudges, fingerprints and dirt LIKE TEFLON. LG Philips LCD said the thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panel allows easy removal of dust, smudges, fingerprints and even permanent ink.The company plans to start mass-producing such screens in the second half of next year. Mitsubishi has released their new 52-inch ultra slim LCD TV ‘REAL’ during the CEATEC 2007 in Japan. This LCD TV is equipped with 29.5mm-thick bezel and 15mm-thick sound projector speaker. Samsung has released the CX940UX in their Syncmaster series, a 19 inch PC monitor. What so special about this monitor? Okay, this CX940UX connect to your computer via USB and Samsung said that it does not need any additional graphic card or new driver to manange the multiple screens operations. Samsung has released a new 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor, the SyncMaster 225UW aka ‘Webcam UCC Monitor’ in Korea market as it is equipped with a built-in 2M pixel webcam, dual-array microphone and speakers. It features a 1680 x 1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 700:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and viewing angles of up to 160 degrees. Metz (BERLIN, Germany) expects to present their new 32-inch LCD HDTV ‘Linus’ at the upcoming IFA 2007. This HDTV comes with integrated double-hybrid tuners for cable and aerial reception and it is equipped with a 160GB hard drive. With the 160GB, users can store up to 200-hours of SD content and 30-hours of HD programming.
