What you see above is LG’s latest super-thin LED LCD TV, which they claimed to be the world’s thinnest. Yes, I had to admit that it looked impressive nonetheless. Sexily thin and magnificently beautiful that it’s so amazing our technology had reached such magnitude, thanks to that localized “Nano LED” dimming technology. However, we can’t help to not notice the stand, which not surprisingly has grown in size and no longer seemed to be the thin stand that it used to be, just a stand. Now it houses what used to be at the back of your television. Simple reallocation job, which does wonder. Yet, the LG LEX8 8.8mm thick LCD TV is astoundingly impressive. However, you can’t hang it on your wall mount anymore, obviously.

Say the name please. KDL-60NX810, KDL-55NX810 and KDL-46NX810 sounds like names of some random microchips, or some drones from Star Wars. But they’re Sony’s latest midrange HDTV, which is just under the flagship XBR-series.
Sony’s XBR10 is somewhat wicked sick, with wireless HDMI and is made super slim with Sony’s insane technology. But they’re not 3D ready, there’s no Wi-Fi, and no localized dimming, which current peeps think is the in-thing. So Sony’s throwing in a ‘nearly-premium’ KDL-series that’s Wi-Fi ready, 3D-ready, but short of the wireless thing. They’re also part of a resurgence of localized backlight dimming technology at Sony that started with the beloved, old, over-engineered but amazing XBR8, which can still outpace many newer LCDs. Hopefully they can capture the attention of some shoppers while Sony redesign their flagship with some funky stuff and amazing tech yet again. Read more…

IPS panels market is ‘srsly’ business, unlike your typical widescreen HD monitors mushrooming all over the world. While Apple has moved out of the 30-inch business, Dell is preparing to get back in instead. Dell’s unannounced, but seemingly all too real UltraSharp U3011 has been snapped over in China. It has a formidable 2,560 x 1,600 resolution while maintaining the styling of the smaller U2711. TFT Central reports it’ll be a 10-bit H-IPS panel from LG Display, bearing a 7ms response time, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 370 nits of overkilled brightness, and 178-degree viewing angles on both the horizontal and vertical axis. HDMI and DVI connections come in packs of two, accompanied by a lone DisplayPort. It seemed capable of giving HP’s ZR30w run for its moolah.
