The Windows Phone 7 is a long work from Microsoft, to have a fight with the fruit company and the robot company that we all know and love (or hate). It’s heavily integrated with Xbox Live, which means Microsoft intends to put mobile gaming heavily into Windows Phone 7’s core, much like what Apple’s doing with their GameCenter thing in iOS 4.1. Microsoft’s approach is very much different from Apple’s approach, where once you unlock, you’re greeted by a sea of icons. Let’s have a look. Read more… Windows Phone 7 officially launched

There we have it. Finally, Microsoft officially launched their much hyped about Windows Phone 7 with a big bang. The Windows Phone 7 is not Microsoft’s first take onto mobile OS platform. We’ve seen the Windows Mobile and we all know how that turned out. Now, Microsoft is ready to let the world embrace their wrath, and also officially pick a fight in this market. So now, we have the three big mammoths of the silicon valley fighting in the portable smartphone market that used to be dominated by Nokia and Sony Ericsson and Motorola and… uh. Those were the days. AT&T's new USB modems include HSPA+ and LTE-upgradeable.

LTE seemed to be the 4G that everyone is waiting for. Yes, we might have Wimax around, but many telcos seemed to be leaning over to LTE instead. AT&T might not have their LTE network up yet, but they’re already preparing new USB modem for it. AT&T has just announced their new USBConnect Adrenaline modem, sourced from LG. While it’s 3G-capable, this modem is upgradeable to LTE in 2011 when LTE is fully geared up. In the meantime, you get HSPA, a microSD slot with support for up to 32GB, and GPS. If you’re in US, it’s up and running for $49.99 on contract. Read more… LG Optimus 7 up on Amazon.de for €499

It seemed that there are so much people that have been very anxious about Windows Phone 7, and a tiny bunch of people have been a step ahead of others. Amazon German would be a good example. Windows Phone 7 isn’t due to launch at least until October 11, at least according to Microsoft’s date for a press conference. But over at the internet, Amazon German has an LG Optimus 7, codenamed E900.
Official product images are missing, but the site says that it’ll cost €499, include a GPS chip, and be capable of filling five million pixels with photonic data and then displaying the results on a 3.5-inch touchscreen. Nice cheese. SOURCE via Amazon.de Video: LG LEX8 OLED TV, slimmest in the world at 2.9mm

What you see above is LG’s latest super-thin LED LCD TV, which they claimed to be the world’s thinnest. Yes, I had to admit that it looked impressive nonetheless. Sexily thin and magnificently beautiful that it’s so amazing our technology had reached such magnitude, thanks to that localized “Nano LED” dimming technology. However, we can’t help to not notice the stand, which not surprisingly has grown in size and no longer seemed to be the thin stand that it used to be, just a stand. Now it houses what used to be at the back of your television. Simple reallocation job, which does wonder. Yet, the LG LEX8 8.8mm thick LCD TV is astoundingly impressive. However, you can’t hang it on your wall mount anymore, obviously. LG to showcase prototype 31-inch OLED display at IFA Berlin

OLED has begun its wide use in the smartphone and camera platform, but TVs and computer displays has yet to embrace this wonderful technology. But LG has decided to be the first to jump into this ‘mainstream’ market by stealing its own OLED thunder and plunge them into a 31-inch monitor. LG plans to show off its latest prototype 0.11-inch thick 31-inch 3D OLED display at IFA this week. But the sheer ‘fatness’ of the display is not the only selling point, as the display also has a crazy refresh rate of ‘600Hz’. I mean, is that really necessary? LG may not be a name that you would think of when buying a notebook, but they do manufactures notebooks. Now they’re launching their latest netbook named X140. The spec of netbook has been raised slightly from previous generations, but I can safely say that all notebook manufacturers have identical netbook specs, as if it is controlled by Intel or an OEM-mainboard manufacturer. Somehow I suspect that Asus is the one making OEM reference model for netbooks’ mainboard. Anyway, back to topic. LG unable to cope up with Apple iPad's demand

It’s still unknown how many screen suppliers Apple has at this point, but who cares really, right? But now, we know that LG is certainly a big brother to Apple, and the big brother now had to let down the fruit brother, as it stated that it can’t stay ahead of the game. Read more… |
