Who’s suing who, mum edition.

There are a lot, lot, lot of lawsuits shooting around the mobile industry these days, and you can see them all at a glance in this tidy infographic by George Kokkinidis. Nokia seemed to be a very busy company. Another busy company would be Apple. Kodak seemed to be very unfriendly thought.

Nokia’s MeeGo UI sneak peaked?

MeeGo is a Linux-based open source mobile operating system project which was announced at Mobile World Congress in February 2010 by Intel and Nokia in a joint press conference. Its aim is to merge the efforts of Intel on Moblin and of Nokia on Maemo into one project. It is hosted by the Linux Foundation. According to Intel, MeeGo was developed because Microsoft did not offer comprehensive Windows 7 support for the Atom processor. Read more…

LG has released a new phone called the LG Mini. It comes with a 3.2-inch 16:9 touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with advanced face detection, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a built-in FM radio, microSD storage with music and video playback, and social-focused applications such as Social Network Connect, a Social Network Feed, and a Social Address Book. Pricing is still unknown.

Casio IT-800 RGC-35 is an industrial PDA phone that comes with an large 3.7-inch VGA screen with a low-reflection touch panel and superior visibility both indoors and outdoors. There’s transparent shock absorption material between the LCD and the touch panel making the display become shock resistance. It has the 3G wireless WAN (HSDPA) capability, providing a high-speed data connection with a maximum download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps. Besides those, this phone is also IP54-rated dust/splash proof and can withstand the dropped on concrete from a height of 1.5 meters. It will be available by the end of January in 2010.

Toshiba T-01A Mobile Phone in Japan

Toshiba is going to launch a 9.9mm-thick smartphone called T-01A in Japan. The phone is based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform, featuring a 4.1-inch wide touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution, the T-01A features HSDPA, GPS and Wi-Fi support. No pricing and availability announced.

LG has released a new fully loaded multimedia phone the LG ARENA (LG-KM900) at a press conference in Korea.

Arena is LG’s new flagship model for 2009 that offers high quality audio and video experience with top-of-the-line multimedia features made possible by LG’s intuitive new 3D S-Class User Interface.

LG’s new S-Class UI was designed to leverage the advantages of touchscreens and also to enhance the web surfing experience. At the main, it has a 3D cube layout that provides four customizable home screens. With the powerful AMD processor, it has fast and smooth 3D transitions between menus. Looks like the iPhone style.

Lexus LF-A made from clear plastic and light

The illuminated acrylic Lexus was shown at the Salone del Mobile design fair in Milan. It is an artist’s impression of the LF-A concept and part of an exhibition called L-Finesse: Crystallised Wind (“L-Finesse” being the car company’s design philosophy). Wow, can you imagine if there’s car like this on road. That will be really cool.

Last two days on the March 17, 2009, Apple has presented the blueprint for iPhone OS 3.0, the next version of the world’s most advanced mobile platform. To promote its new features, Apple gave members of the iPhone Developer Program immediate access to the iPhone OS 3.0 software beta and an update Software Development Kit (SDK) with over 1,000 completely new APIs. When the iPhone 3 OS arrives this summer, it will introduce over a hundred new features which include the ability to: search your iPhone, cut/copy/paste, send photos/contact/audio files/location via mms, and read/compose email and text message in landscape. The Cause of Ads

Mobile market is getting hot in India, just only last month there are addition to 4.13 million of GSM users. Then, here’s it goes, advertising and promotion. Hutch a company currently owned by Vodafone put a huge ads board on a 35 year multi-storied building in Surat, the western Indian state of Gujarat. This huge and heavy advertisement board has destabilized the structure and started to sway, then was finally blown away and collapse by 10 miles per hour winds. Watch it falls after the jump.
